What do rap music and cryptocurrency education have in common? At Crypto Tutors, they are one and the same.
Co-founders Lisa Francour, Moeto Ncube and Nina Blankenship established Crypto Tutors in 2020 to offer e-learning courses and multimodal tutoring services – including crypto rap music – for the upskilling and re-skilling of corporate and government employees. Their educational resources have prepared the workforce at Microsoft, Coinbase, Visa and others to deal with the complexities of blockchain, web 3.0, cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens and the metaverse.
In 2021, Crypto Tutors founded the first conference, Crypto for the Culture, which democratizes access to wealth building through education. The company is also developing job placement software that can match candidates from underserved communities with jobs in the new digital world.
Ecosystem Wins
Crypto Tutors is a member of the Cenfluence Learning Sciences + Human Performance Cluster. In 2023, with help from Cenfluence and The Corridor’s FL FAST program, the founders successfully secured a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and an I-Corps award from the National Science Foundation. They also applied lessons learned in this process to pursue other funding opportunities to continue developing new technologies related to blockchain education.
