SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing (DCS) Conference and Exhibition

This conference is being held at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, and there is no fee for attending just the exhibition and industry sessions.

There are 290 exhibiting optics and photonics companies and related organizations. This is ostensibly Florida’s optics and photonics conference.

Industry sessions of interest include:

• 2 May, 1-2 pm: Modeling, Simulation and Training (MS&T) – An Opportunity for Optics and Photonics
  • Barron Mills will moderate this session. Dr. Neal Finkelstein will provide an overview of MS&T to the audience, and then he’ll join for a panel discussion alongside Shane Taber from ECS and Dr. Benito Graniela from NAWCTSD.
• 3 May, 10:30 am-noon: Florida Photonics: Free Space Optical Communications
  • This session will feature a number of FPC members: Alexei Glebov from OptiGrate, Jay Kumler from JENOPTIK, Matthew Reichert from CACI, Julio Castillo from Critical Frequency Design, John Stryjewski from x-Lumin, and Robert Bernath from CREOL.
• 4 May, 10:15-10:45 am: Advocacy and Public Policy Update
• 4 May, 10:45-11:15 am: Photonics Market Update
