Florida Photonic Cluster General Membership Meeting

Please join FPC as we visit Edmund Optics’ new facility and discuss the opportunities for optics and photonics in the Greater Tampa Bay area.

Please RSVP no later than 31 October. Along with the opportunity to reconnect with and meet other Cluster members for the first time, we have an informative and engaging program lined up:

•  recognizing and hearing from the economic development organizations who are sponsoring the event
•  providing an overview and update on the optics and photonics from the global to local level
•  hearing from Edmund Optics on the current and future plans in Florida
•  touring the facility
•  lunch will be provided at the end of event

For Edmund Optics’ security processes, attendees will need to identify if they are a U.S. citizen or not. The answer does not preclude anyone’s attendance at the meeting. Please bring a government-issued picture ID.

What is the Florida Photonics Cluster?

The mission of the Florida Photonics Cluster (FPC) is to support the growth and profitability of the photonics industry through the strength of a unified voice and to make Florida the place to go for photonics solutions. The driving forces of the FPC are networking opportunities with industry peers, an expansive resource base, and an educational community focused on industry input for curriculum development. The FPC is a 501c(6) not-for-profit corporation. The FPC is dedicated to enhancing the industry through effective collaboration by bringing together the knowledge, expertise, and service that each member company or organization has to offer.

• Foster the expansion and growth of Florida’s optics and photonics industry by partnering with economic development organizations, the state universities and community colleges, and local and state governments.
• Market Florida’s optics and photonics companies worldwide.
• Facilitate and provide a means of communication within the business community.
• Partner with the Florida education community to enhance and develop a competent statewide optics and photonics-based workforce.
